We’ve made our policies simple and transparent so you can shop with confidence.


Before You Purchase
We recommend reading the terms below before placing your order — especially if you're unsure about your selection. Questions? We're here to help.


Unpacking & Inspection
– Unroll your rug carefully.
– Don’t place furniture on it if you're considering a return.
– Keep all packaging (we’ll help you repack if needed).
– Inspect immediately and contact us within 3 days if there are any issues.


Returns & Exchanges
– 7-day return window for most rugs. Check the "Returns" tab on the product page.
– Refunds are issued once the rug is inspected and approved.


Free Returns – Orders from 3 May 2025
– First and second orders: free return on 1 rug per order.
– Orders before 3 May: customer covers return shipping.
– Full refund on modern rugs only. Persian, Afghan, and handmade Indian rugs excluded.
– We offer free shipping + free returns — a rare combo online.


Authentic Rugs – Exchange Only
– 30-day exchange window.
– Rug must be clean, in original condition.
– Exchange must be equal or higher value.
– First exchange: we cover return shipping (1 rug only).

General Exchange Policy
– 30-day window.
– Rug must be in resaleable condition.
– Exchange for equal or higher value.
– Free return shipping on your first exchange.
– We may decline exchanges if the rug is damaged.


Wrong Rug Received
– Contact us within 3 days.
– If it’s our mistake, we’ll cover return shipping and send the correct item.


Afterpay & Zip Pay
– Refunds will have merchant fees deducted.
– Contact us before returning your item for a quote.


Return Inspection & Refunds
– All rugs are inspected upon return.
– If approved, we’ll issue your refund (minus any fees).
– If declined, we’ll reach out to discuss next steps.


Courier Damage
– Note any visible damage at delivery.
– Notify us within 3 days with photos of the rug, packaging, and labels.
– If eligible, we’ll offer a refund or replacement.
(Wear and tear isn’t considered damage.)


Faulty Rugs
– Report faults to sales@gamilarugs.com.au within 7 days.
– Natural fading, shedding, and creasing are normal and not considered faults.


Wool Rugs
– Not ideal for homes with young kids.
– Shedding is normal. Avoid:
• Heavy or frequent vacuuming
• Power head vacuums
• Placing furniture directly on the rug


Returns May Be Declined If:
– The rug is used or damaged.
– It isn’t securely repacked.
– Damage occurs in transit due to poor packaging.

In these cases, you’ll be charged:
– Return shipping (quoted rate)
– $45 minimum reshipping fee
– Original shipping cost (non-refundable)
