This exquisite handmade carpet hails from the Hamadan region of Persia, known today as Iran. Measuring 5.12 by 3.17 meters, this grand rug is perfect for an opulent drawing room, adding an aura of sophistication and elegance. 

The design features a prominent central medallion with four directional extensions, or "drops," radiating towards the north, south, east, and west. The drops extending north and south are elongated to harmonize with the carpet's length, while those extending east and west boast spectacular, intricate patterns. The overarching theme of the carpet is undeniably floral, symbolizing the beauty of nature in full bloom.

At the heart of the central medallion lies a striking red flower, nestled within an expansive, eye-shaped motif. This medallion's elongated, ocular form, resembling a human eye with pointed corners, draws immediate attention.
